Tring Reservoirs

Tring Reservoirs - owned by the Canal and River Trust are a delight enjoyed throughout the year by walkers, cyclists, fishermen, and boaters on the canal. This is the top of our waterways world, 365 feet above sea level, the same height as the top of St. Paul's Cathedral. In fact here in Tring it is furthest point from the sea anywhere in England. The reservoirs feed the Grand Union Canal and are owned by the Canal and River Trust, but they are managed by the Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust. Ornithologists from all over the world visit this wonderful water wonderland where over 400 species of birds have been seen, come and enjoy - you will be delighted.
